Our Core Beliefs
Scripture
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the only infallible rule for our faith and practice. We strive to speak and live according to Gods Word rather than human tradition or opinion.
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in Righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."
2 Timothy 3:16-17
The Church
Christ established His church (Matthew 16:18) and the church belongs to Him-not to any human leader or denomination.
"Ane He put all things under His feet and gave Him to be head overall things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all."
Ephesians 1: 22-23
The Lord's Supper
The Lords Supper is a special memorial instituted by Jesus Christ for His disciples. When we partake of it, we remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us and proclaim His death until He comes again. The New Testament shows us that the early church came together on the first day of the week to break brea
"Do this in remembrance of Me"
-Luke 22:19
Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, our Lord, and Savior, and the only way to the Father. He came to earth, lived a sinless life, willingly gave Himself on the cross for our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day.
"Jesus said to him "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me""
John 14:6
Salvation
We believe that the New Testament teaches us to hear the Gospel, believe in Christ, repent of our sins, confess Christ, be baptized for the remission of sins, and live faithfully.
(Romans 10:17; John 8:24; Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9-10; Mark 16:16; Revelations 2:10)
Christian Living
Being a Christian is more than attending worship-it is a daily commitment to follow Jesus and allow God's Word to guide our lives.
We strive to love God and others (Matthew 22:37-39), live according to His Word (James 1:22), serve others (Galatians 6:10, forgive and show compassion (Ephesians 4:32), share the Gospel (Matthew 28:19-20), and remain faithful to Christ (Revelations 2:10).
"I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer who i live, but Christ lives in me."
-Galatians 2:20
Grace
Salvation is made possible by God's grace through Jesus Christ. We respond to that grace through obedient faith.
"For grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works lest we should boast."
Ephesians 2:8-9
Worship
We believe worship belongs to God, and our desire is to worship Him according to His Word, with reverence, sincerity and love.
"God is Spirit, and those that worship Him must worship in spirit and truth"
-John 4:24
